Ventura Research Laboratories have been established to foster research and development that is devoted to innovation. Our emphasis is on research that yields commercial products that will eventually reach market place. The laboratory exclusively focuses on emerging areas of biotechnology.
Biotech industry is a knowledge intensive business which involves research and development focused to specific end use or to improve the products and processes. In other words, high quality scientific and technical expertise is a prerequisite for this high tech business. It is imperative then that highly skilled and innovative scientific personnel are key to successful biotech enterprise.
The following are the present activities of the laboratory:
1. R & D activities: in selective areas such as biotherapeutics and molecular diagnostics. 2. Contractual research service: R & D Support for products and projects. Fermentation products, r-DNA Products and agro biotechnologies. 3. Consultancy services: Product ideas, projects, technical information, feasibility studies, R & D support, trouble shooting, collaborations and intellectual property rights. 4. Training Activities: Training in advanced laboratory skills required in biotech industry. Ventura Institute of Biotechnology also offers their laboratory facilities for doing specific research projects in interdisciplinary areas such as Genetics, Molecular biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Bioinformatics.
Ventura Institute of Biosciences offers projects in various fields like Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Bioinformatics for interested aspirants. The projects offered by VIOB are live and industrial and designed keeping in mind the latest advancements in the respective fields. These projects are designed by our highly trained faculty who are having good industrial and research experience.
The projects offered by VIOB fall in to 2 categories:
- Academic projects as part of graduation / post graduation courses.
- Projects for working Professional from pharma /biotech companies.
Academic projects as part of graduate / post graduate courses.
Academic projects, which are the part of the curriculum, for the fulfillment of the degree in different streams of life sciences are provided by Ventura. The students can put forward their own ideas for the project work which shall be encouraged by us based on the feasibility and time span; else the students can also opt from the project list provided by us. However the list is provided only after registration. Partial list of the projects is provided for reference.

The interested working aspirants can put forward their ideas and innovations and carry out their research cum project work at Ventura. Ventura provides the platform for the growth of the aspirants having sound knowledge and grip over the concepts.
Certificates are issued after the successful completion of the project. The outstanding project works are encouraged for publications on the interest of the students.
